Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 30 calendar days of the invoice date.
Clear terms. Clear process.
GrimeBreakers offers approved business clients 30-day payment terms. We believe payment arrangements should be as clear and reliable as the service itself.
What happens when an invoice becomes overdue?
Our aim is simple: give business clients a fair opportunity to put an overdue account right, while keeping a clear and consistent credit-control process.
A polite payment reminder may be issued when the balance first becomes overdue.
A further reminder may be sent if payment has still not been received.
A formal notice may advise that statutory late-payment remedies and recovery action may follow.
If unresolved, the outstanding balance may be referred for formal recovery or other appropriate action.
30 days means 30 days.
Credit terms are offered so that business clients have a reasonable period to process and settle invoices. The payment due date shown on the invoice remains the contractual due date. Our reminder stages do not extend that date.
Clients are responsible for passing invoices to the appropriate person or accounts department in sufficient time for payment to be received by the due date.
Genuine invoice query?
If something on an invoice is genuinely disputed, contact GrimeBreakers promptly with enough information for us to investigate. Genuine queries will be dealt with reasonably and in good faith.
Repeated late payment
Where an account is repeatedly paid late, future work may be offered on revised payment arrangements, including payment in advance or withdrawal of credit terms.
Statutory late-payment rights
For qualifying business-to-business transactions, GrimeBreakers reserves its rights under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and associated legislation. These rights may include statutory interest, fixed-sum recovery compensation and, where applicable, reasonable additional recovery costs.
The reminder periods above are part of our own credit-control process. They do not waive statutory rights that may arise once a qualifying payment becomes overdue.
Work agreed. Work completed. Payment on time.
We value straightforward, long-term relationships with letting agents and other property professionals. Clear payment terms help keep those relationships straightforward for everyone.
